basics.
FULL NAME: Verity Fitzpatrick
NICKNAMES: Fitz, Ver- both common among friends
BIRTHDAY & AGE: October 24, 1977 // 22
From HP Astrology:Expect stamina, incredible courage, intense and stormy emotions, burning idealism, and indomitable will. Gryffindor Scorpios are never drawn in shades of pastel; they are always blood red and mesmerizing gold. ... Expect them to get into frequent duels, and expect them to gravitate naturally to DADA, for all Scorpios are fascinated by anything dark and forbidden ... Expect passion. Expect wisdom. But don't expect a lot of time to take a breather.
PLACE OF RESIDENCE: Hogwarts until assigned to a master
PLACE OF ORIGIN: Dublin, Ireland and London, England
OCCUPATION: Slave
AFFILIATION: Slave
BLOODLINE: Muggleborn
WAND: Doesn't have one but was an 11 in, Apple wood, Pheonix Feather core, springy

appearance.
HEIGHT: 5'6
BUILD: Emaciated, used to be slender with subtle curves
EYE COLOR: Blue
HAIR COLOR: Blonde
DISTINGUISHING MARKS: Has a birth mark high on her inner right thigh, a tattoo on her lower arm that reads 'tibi ipsi dic verum' which is latin for ‘to thine ownself be true’, a small tattoo of a sparrow behind her left ear, and three stars on her shoulder. All of her tattoo's are muggle and do not move.
PERSONAL STYLE: Right now she wears whatever she is given but before she liked to wear clothes that were both comfortable and often sexy. Either way she preferred casual to dressed up, muggle clothes to robes, and hardly ever wore make up. Verity was never the picture of class. Now fun on the other hand...
PLAYED-BY: Sienna Miller

personality.
LIKES: Tequila, cigarettes, fun, humor, acting, theater, Shakespeare, music, movies, sunshine
DISLIKES: slavery, bigotry, rules, lima beans, broken trust, animals, spiders, Alicia Spinnett
STRENGTHS: great at math/book keeping/Arithmancy, is a seer via her dreams though she typically reads emotions left in locations or on people rather than seeing the future, has been trained in theater, can hold her liquor (but not beer or wine), determined and goal-minded
WEAKNESSES: Is absolutely rubbish at potions and Herbology, not great with charms, trouble trusting people, objectifies people, suspicious, memory problems from too many oblivations.
VICES: Verity has more vices than is truly healthy. She smokes, she drinks, she curses, and no, she doesn’t give a fuck if you are offended.
AMORTENTIA SMELLS: Toffee, leather, grass, and sunshine (yes that has a smell!)
MIRROR OF ERISED: Verity would say she'd see herself on stage at WADA but in truth she would see Lee with his arms around her, Fred and George goofing of behind them, and Alicia smiling. In short she would see her family with her, they way she wishes they could be.
BOGGART: WWW on fire, with a rotating reel of her friends stuck inside, particularly George. There is no way to make that funny to her.
GENERAL PERSONALITY: To the vast majority of people Verity is fun, casual, and looking for a good time. She has a sense of humor that comes and goes but values it in other people. She is quiet but makes friends easily and doesn’t give a rip about house-loyalties.

Verity is friendly to most people unless you do something to piss her off. If you’re on her “shit list” don’t expect to make it off soon- she holds grudges with a vice grip. She’s a person who has been stepped on more than she can count and she is done with giving people the benefit of the doubt nor does she do well with forgiveness.

Verity doesn't have much regard for rules but she does have dreams and is very determined when it comes to accomplishing them. She has never been handed anything and knows that if she's ever going to make something out of her life she has to do it herself. More shrewd than many Gryffindors, she is ambitious and driven, willing to do what she has to to get what she needs. She has led a hard knock life and can be ruthless when she needs to be.

But hard work warrants hard play. Before the war she could always be found in one of three places- WWW, the DAWA, or the pubs. Back then she thought sleep was for the dead and she made the most of every waking moment.

Since the war she has had increasing problems with anxiety and depression which she thinks are fairly justified. There are too many things buried in Verity's past and now her future is bleak as well. The balls she kept in the air, giving the impression of a vibrant, fun, out-going girl, are quickly falling to the ground as her reality crumbles. She is quickly turning into a quiet, reclusive, and bitter girl.

history.
PARENTS:
Mary Fitzpatrick: Mary is Verity’s muggle mother. She is the sort of woman who was more concerned with her own self-image than caring for her child. She sought approval from the worst sort of men and it was always Verity who paid worse for her Mary’s decisions. She hasn’t kept in touch with her mother since she was seventeen and her mother hasn’t bothered to write. Verity doesn’t know if she’s alive or dead but assumes she’s likely passed out in someone’s bed, too high to care.
Father: Verity doesn’t know her father, nor does she know much about him. She knows that he left when her mother was five months pregnant and that’s all she needs to know.
Uncle Alfie: Uncle Alfie is her mother’s younger brother. He was a vagabond of sorts but whenever he was in town he would take care of Verity as best he could. She went to live with him on occasion but whenever her mother sobered up she would throw a fit and drag Verity back to whatever hell she’d put herself in this time. He is quite possibly the only person she has in her past that was like a guiding light. She keeps a photo of him but doesn’t know where he is or if he’s okay. She hasn’t dared contact him since things have gotten bad in the wizarding world as she doesn’t want to draw attention to him.
The Other Men: Verity was often abused by the men that her mother brought home (or moved in with) and she refers to them collectively as the ‘other men’ there were too many to count and she would prefer to put this part of her life behind her. The worst was by a man named Gareth who still haunts her nightmares.
SIBLINGS: None that she is aware of
SPOUSE: Noooo Thank You.
CHILDREN: None that she knows of
PETS: Verity is a not a fan of animals, she does like song birds but that's about it. As a slave she doesn't have pets.
ROLE/POSITION IN WAR: Verity did what she could to fight in the war, believing in protecting her rights as a Muggleborn. She had nothing to go back to in the muggle world but she stupidly didn't think that things would get as bad as they did and never joined up with any faction or went into hiding.
BRIEF HISTORY:
1997: October 28- Verity was born to Mary Fitzgerald in the middle of the night with plenty of blood, sweat, and screaming. Sure, it’s how most enter the world, but Verity always thought back on what her birth must have been like as almost a poetic start to what her life would include- like foreshadowing. Her mother was poor and had been her whole life. She was the sort of woman who found her own self worth in the opinions of men and they were the worst sort of men at that. The pregnancy was a mistake, that was for sure, but when she realized that Verity’s father was willing to stick around because of it, she didn’t get the abortion she was planning on. Of course, his fidelity only lasted another five months and then he, too, left Mary like all of the men before him. It was too late for her to get the abortion at that point and so she was with a daughter.
1983: Verity meets Alicia Spinnett out on the streets, the two bond over their less than savory home lives and the fact that they have to mostly raise themselves. Verity is jealous of Alicia's curly hair and her families money, even the school she goes to, but the girl is pretty cool for a richie.
1984: Starts having dreams about the demise of her mother's relationships. When they play out just as she dreamt she blames herseslf, believing that she made it happen. More and more weird things happen around her that draws the attention of her mother's boyfriend. He hits her for 'being weird' and she promises not to tell, wanting to do anything to stop him from hating her. Over the years this is a repeated pattern with various men. She grows hardened and bitter and blames her mom for bringing them into her life.
1986: Alicia's mother kills herself. Verity doesn't know what to do but tries her hardest to be whatever Alicia needs her to be. Takes on a role of wanting to protect the girl.
1988: October 28, receives Hogwarts letter. Doesn't believe it's real. Keeps it hidden until another comes. When she shows it to her Uncle Alfie he investigates and sets it up for her to attend.
1989: September, Leaves for Hogwarts, is surprised to find Alicia on the platform as well. Spends her time on the Express with her friend but is also excited to meet the other kids. Most of the ride is spent in the car with Alicia, Angelina, Fred, George, and Lee (if it's okay with players). The hat has trouble placing her and she worries that it will decide she doesn't belong anyway. After what feels like an eternity she is sorted into Gryffindor where she eagerly awaits to see where her new friends will go. The next Seven years feel like a roller coaster to Verity, constantly fighting with friends and foes alike and just skimming by on most of her academics.
1991: During a late night talk with Lee, easily one of her closest mates, she let's slip that Alicia's mother killed herself. When Alicia finds out she told they have a huge row and will no longer speak to one another.
1992: Summer, Verity is attacked by her mother's new husband when left alone with him. She is nearly raped but saved by her uncle at the last night. The event terrifies her and she moves in with Uncle Alfie. Although she tries to ignore it, she has frequent nightmares and eventually decides she needs to talk to someone about it. She turns to Alicia who calls her a liar and a drama queen. The last vestiages of their friendship is over as far as she is concerned.
September, Has decided from her summer to take control of her life, not letting many people very close. Returns to school more reckless than before, enjoying trouble as a distraction from her fears. Decides to lose her virginity before it is taken from her and 'seduces' Lee. This starts a pattern of an on-again-off-again relationship that will last years.
1994: Cedric Diggory is killed at the Tri-Wizarding tournament. It shocks Verity but seh still has a hard time believing in Voldemort (or rather she has a hard time accepting that the wizarding world isn't safe for her.)
1995: As her friends join the DA, Verity spends more and more time during her Seventh year with the Drama club. She avoids the DA originally because of Alicia but highly questions her decision. Has bad dreams about the meetings that keep her away. When Fred and George leave she praises them wildly and tries to keep up their legacy.
1996: June, leaves Hogwarts and joins up with Fred and George working at WWW. Also starts taking classes at the Wizarding Academy of Performing Arts. Naturally she moves into a flat in Diagon Alley although it is itty bitty tiny. She loves it anyway. When Dumbledore is killed she feels her fear spike again but is determined to live her life without fear and pushes past it. Her "on" times with Lee seem to be getting longer but the two are still terrified of being tied down and can't commit, even to each other.
1997: January, Lee unofficially moves in with her, the two try to make an honest go of a relationship, finding it surprisingly easier compared to the way it was in Hogwarts.
June, Fred and George's family are attacked at Bill and Fleur's wedding. George is killed and Verity is devistated. This is the first time someone she's loved has died much less the first time she's ever watched that sort of violence in person. She returns to the shop when Fred goes with his family, determined to keep things running. She works through her grief, drinking too much and sleeping too little. She attend's George's funeral and tries to get Fred to go with her. By the month's end Lee announces that he is leaving on a world tour with no other warning or discussion. Verity is left feeling abandoned, hurt, and angry along with her grief over George.
1999: January, Lee returns from his world tour. She is furious and a fight ensues including a lot of throwing things. The two continue on rockily, she's not able to trust him but has always had deep feelings for him. Their fights are now much more passionate but so is their affection. Both are struggling with a lot in life, including the growing war and the death of friends and family.
March, Fred tells Verity to stay away from the shop for a couple of days but she doesn't like. She's on her way into work when she sees the blaze and knows instinctively that Fred burned the shop down. All she can do is stand and stare, feeling like the blaze was burning more than a building but everything that represented happiness and hope for her broken life. In denial of the way the world is heading she throws herself into WADA, harbors bitter and angry feelings toward Fred but tries to understand where he's coming from.
April, On her way home from a rehearsal she is attacked and kidnapped by Lucas Avery, whom she'd had some contact with at Hogwarts. Lucas, a young Death Eater, has delusions of grandeur and megalomania. Not wanting to turn Verity over he keeps her imprisoned as a sex slave with the use of the Imperius Curse and occasional Obliviation. Forces her to act out not only sexual fantasies but domestic ones as well.
2000: January, Verity gives birth. Lucas, believing her to be pregnant with his child (and increasingly lost in his own delusions) has provided her with medical care, forcing her to keep the pregnancy as no Avery would be aborted. When the child is clearly half black he realizes that she was unknowingly pregnant when he took her. He names the child and sends him to a cousin in France, planning on using the child to blackmail Verity if it is every needed. To keep her complacent Lucas obliviates the pregnancy from her but causes some damage when he does so. Verity's short term memory can be shakey now.
July, Lucas is killed in the Riddle House battle. When his house is raided Verity is discovered and thrown into Hogwarts, enrolled in the Slavery program.
